Our History – Painting in The Atlanta Area

Grade A Custom Painting was established in 2003 by third generation painter Dustin Shirley, but the roots of the company history span multiple generations. The tradition started in the early 1900′s with Curt Shirley Painting Co. and has been passed down for 3 generations, creating over 150 years of combined experience in the painting industry.

Moreover, all generations of the Shirley family painters have been born and raised in the Atlanta metro area, and we have been dedicated to improving our community for almost a century.

What qualities does Grade A Painting have that separates us from other painting companies? Most companies claim to build their business on ‘customer satisfaction’, yet when the job is finished. The effects of a job poorly done aren’t truly realized until long after the job has been completed. When that much time has passed, often times the painting company will deny any sort of responsibility. But here at Grade A Custom Painting, we back our work with an unprecedented 5-year warranty.

We have an acute attention to detail, and have been fortunate enough to employ some of the best crew chiefs in the industry to offer top notch communication and workmanship. We also offer a wide variety of services for your convenience: Deck construction, preparation and staining, sheet rock installation, siding replacement, and carpentry work. When we replace rotten wood, we always use an oil based primer on new material for extra lasting durability.
